SophoMORE Week     Class of 2011
September 16 - 23, 2008

That’s right!  A whole week devoted to sophomores!  Developing relationships, choosing a major, deciding whether or not to study abroad, finding an internship, are some of the decisions students will make during the sophomore year. SophoMORE Week was developed to help students navigate their way through these experiences and much, much, more. You may find this year to be more exciting, more thought provoking, more challenging, and more fun than any other year at Loyola!

The Career Center Open House
Wednesday, September 17, 2008, 12 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.

Do you want to win a Panera gift card? If so, follow these simple directions. First, go to The Career Center Open House. Second, introduce yourself to one of the staff members and pick up a Sophomore Career Action Plan. Third, stop by the Office of Sophomore Initiatives, Seton Court 4508A, and show a staff  member the Sophomore Career Action Plan. The first 10 sophomores to do this will receive a Panera Gift card.

Sophomore Adventures:Kayaking Sunday, September 21, 2008 - EVENT FULL!

The Department of Recreational Sports: Outdoor Adventure Experience (OAE) is pleased to offer Sophomore Adventures.  Get away from campus and paddle the beautiful waterways of the Mid-Atlantic. Spend a little fun in the sun with your classmates in a sea kayak.  This trip is guaranteed to be a great time on the water. No experience necessary. Sign up early, this adventure will fill up fast!

Discovery Information Session

Are you adventurous?  Do you like the beach?  Are you interested in meeting new people?  If so, you will want to learn more about Discovery!  Discovery is a week-long excursion that takes place at Virginia Beach, Virginia.  Hear what students have to say about this amazing program that includes kayaking, camping, and other adventure activities.

The sophomore year is a great time to get involved, make new friends, and discover your passions and interests.  Mark Lee, LC Alum and Direcotr of Technology and Gradaute Student Services, will share a reflection and lead a thought provoking conversation about finding your niche.
