Accreditation The Master's of Science program in Speech-Language Pathology at Loyola University Maryland is accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, 2200 Research Boulevard #310, Rockville, Md. 20850, 800-498-2071 or 301-296-5700 for the time period of April 1, 2012 - March 31, 2020. Complaint Process Complaints about accreditation standards as outlined by ASHA should be addressed with the program director, Dr. Janet Preis. If complaints can not be taken care of internally, the complainant should send their grievance to the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology. A complaint about any accredited program or program in candidacy status may be submitted by any student, instructional staff member, speech-language pathologist, audiologist, and/or member of the public. Complaints about programs must meet the following criteria: a) be against an accredited graduate education program or program in candidacy status in audiology and/or speech language pathology, Complaints must meet the following submission requirements: a) include verification, if the complaint is from a student or faculty/instructional staff member, that the complainant exhausted all pertinent institutional grievance and review mechanisms before submitting a complaint to the CAA,
d) will not be accepted by email or facsimile. The complainant's burden of proof is a preponderance, or greater weight, of the evidence. Complaints against a program may be submitted even if separate action is pending against the program by another body except as outlined above. See more information about filing a complaint. |
