* Required for major - Majors must complete one mathematics course (ST110 recommended) and two science courses (i.e., 1 natural science, 1 biology) to fulfill the math/science core requirement. (Note: For admission into most Au.D. programs, one of the science courses must have an associated lab.)
- SP102 is a pre-requisite for the following courses: SP207, SP301, SP306, SP400, SP405, SP406, SP412, SP440.
- The following courses are restricted to majors: SP301, SP306, SP308, SP400, SP405, SP406, SP412, SP440, SP441, SP443.
- The following courses are electives within the major, and most are open to non-majors: SP214, SP312, SP314, *SP 417 and SP441 (*restricted to majors).
- SP312 fulfills the diversity requirement (domestic diversity awareness)
- The curriculum includes primarily core courses for the freshman and sophomore years. Students often complete two major courses in the freshman year, and four or five major courses in the sophomore year. Students should be able to complete the majority of core courses by the end of their junior year. Students planning on studying abroad should talk with international programs, the Academic Advising and Support Center, and the director of undergraduate studies in the department of speech pathology/audiology in the freshman or sophomore year to plan their course of study.
