Loyola University Maryland

Department of Speech-Language Pathology/Audiology

Study Abroad

Students majoring in speech-language pathology/audiology are easily able to study abroad during their junior year. Most study abroad programs are one semester in length and do not offer speech-language pathology/audiology courses. Therefore, the student needs to plan ahead to take major courses in advance of going abroad. Loyola’s study abroad program in New Castle, England, however, is a year-long program offering courses in speech-language pathology. If interested in this program, the student should also plan ahead to allow courses to be taken abroad.

Students interested in majoring in speech-language pathology/audiology, who are also interested in studying abroad, should meet with their advisor early to map out a projected course schedule. Students needing further assistance should contact Dr. Lisa Schoenbrodt, undergraduate director, at lschoenbrodt@loyola.edu. Students should also visit the international programs website for general information about studying abroad.
