Getting Started To initiate a new project, you must first fill out a project requisition form. These are available in the Office of Publications, Humanities Building T12A, or by calling x5026. When initiating a project, you'll want to identify your audience, the intended purpose of the piece, an estimate of quantity, amount of money budgeted (if known), and how your material will be distributed. That information will enable the Department of Publications to determine what design solution will best meet your needs. Once submitted, your information will be reviewed and a designer will be assigned to the project. You will then be contacted by the designer to discuss the job and arrange a production schedule. Scheduling Because the Office of Publications often schedules projects months in advance, clients are encouraged to plan in advance as well. It is recommended that you allow at least 4-6 weeks for the completion of your project, even if it is a simple reprint requiring minor updates. This allows us to fit your project into the existing schedule of work and provides adequate time for printing. Larger projects requiring content development and photography may take up to three months or more. If you have questions or concerns about the timeframe needed for your project, please contact us and we will be happy to help develop a plan. Costs and Billing Consultation and design are offered without charge as a service to its College clients. Costs incurred during the creation of a project are passed along to the client without mark-up. These expenses might include illustration or photography, printing and delivery charges. An estimate of all costs associated with each project will be provided upon request. Contact Us 4501 N.
