Senior Class Gift The past four years at Loyola have made a tremendous impact on your life... What is the Senior Class Gift Campaign? As members of the graduating class prepare to transition from students to alumni, they are challenged to leave a symbol of their class unity and support the future of Loyola College. The Senior Class Gift Campaign is an opportunity for members of the class to display their appreciation for their Loyola educational experience and to create a communication network for the future. What is the Class of 2008 Senior Class Gift? The Class of 2008 will support the addition of a Greyhound statue to be displayed at Loyola's future Intercollegiate Athletic Complex. This state-of-the-art athletic facility, to be completed in Fall 2009, will feature a 6000-seat grandstand and promises to strengthen Loyola's continued ascent in NCAA Division I intercollegiate athletics. The statue of Loyola's mascot will welcome students, alumni, parents and friends as they gather to cheer on Greyhound student-athletes for years to come. In addition to the tremendous pride the Class of 2008 has in Loyola, this legacy gift also represents the spirit and unity that the athletic teams have provided for the senior class during their four years on the Evergreen campus. Why should you support the Senior Class Gift? - Unity and Communication:
The Senior Class Gift Campaign is a perfect opportunity for members of the class to connect before graduation and to create communication channels for life after Loyola.
- Tradition and Pride:
By giving a gift to Loyola, you are joining the thousands of alumni before you, who say "thank you" to the College through their annual gifts.
- Philanthropic Support:
Think of all that you have gained from your College experience - all the friends, lessons, experiences and memories. The Senior Class Gift is your chance to give back!
- Message of Appreciation:
The Senior Class Gift is the perfect way to show the Loyola Community that you value your degree from the College.
What is the 2008 Senior Gift Campaign's Goal? The Class of 2008 has set a goal to achieve 60 percent participation among members and seeks to raise $25,000 in gifts and pledges. Why does my pledge or gift matter? Every gift makes a difference.
- Many publications (such as U.S. News & World Report) rank Loyola and use the percentage of alumni who donate annually to determine overall alumni satisfaction.
- Foundations and corporations, in turn, look at alumni giving participation rates as they determine funding for non-profit institutions such as Loyola.
- Your gift helps contribute to the overall value of your Loyola College degree.
How do I give? It's easy! You can give using your credit card or your Evergreen card. Or you can make a pledge. Pay nothing now; make a pledge payable by May 31, 2009. How do I stay connected to Loyola after I graduate? Participating in programs sponsored by the Alumni Association in Baltimore and throughout the country will allow you to remain close to your alma mater and friends and hear exciting news about the College. Events The Senior Class Barbeque, the Young Alumni Crab Feast and the Bull and Oyster Roast are just some of the events in store for the Class of 2008! Committees Whether you like to continue the Jesuit tradition of participating in community service activities or would like to help plan your Five-Year Reunion, Loyola’s Regional Alumni Chapters and Committees provide an opportunity to network with your peers and remain part of the Loyola College Community.
