John Early Society
Loyola College in Maryland owes much of its remarkable tradition of growth and achievement to a dedicated corps of individuals whose talents and ethics represent the very best in education, and in service to the College’s Jesuit mission. Generations of students, faculty, administrators and staff have worked tirelessly to ensure the College’s continued advancement; all the while, they have worked alongside an equally dedicated community of donors whose leadership and generosity have been an essential part of the College’s record of accomplishment. The most distinguished of these comprise a prestigious group of Loyola donors known as The John Early Society. The leadership provided by The John Early Society has allowed the College to reach remarkable milestones such as: The establishment of a Phi Beta Kappa chapter Its first Rhodes Scholar The creation of two new graduate campuses A record-breaking first-year class of nearly 1,000 students A pioneering $1 million grant from the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation to establish a corps of advisors committed to improving access to higher education.
With this growing reputation for academic excellence comes additional challenges, and added responsibility to continue to recruit distinguished faculty, develop innovative curricula and make the benefits of a College education affordable for qualified students. It is in these new challenges that leadership donors have the greatest ability to make a difference. For more information on the John Early Society, please visit www.loyola.edu/jes. |
