Corporations and Foundations Giving

As a nationally recognized university, Loyola College receives substantial financial support from corporations and foundations across the region and country. These gifts - whether matching alumni employee contributions or funding vital projects such as scholarships, buildings or faculty-initiated programs - provide a key measure of Loyola's success in offering the best possible education and its growing reputation among the leading Jesuit universities in the nation.

Last Year's Giving Results
More than $3 million in commitments from corporations and foundations came in last year, most notably a $1 million grant from the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation. This award will fund an innovative program designed to train recent Loyola graduates to serve as Advisors focused on helping high-achieving, low-income high school students attain college or university educations.

Other significant corporate and foundation commitments included:

  • A $250,000 gift from Merritt Properties, LLC, a leadership gift that will support the Loyola Clinical Centers' efforts to provide psychological, educational and speech-language/audiology services to lower-income families.
  • The Clinical Centers also received a $25,000 commitment from the Macht Philanthropic Fund of the Associated Jewish Charities and a $15,000 award from the John J. Leidy Foundation, Inc.
