Each guest will also have one chance at a $10,000 dice roll. If their dice roll spells STMARY, they win the $10,000 jackpot. Every guest will also be entered into a drawing for a new GPS system. Guests will have the opportunity to bid on a variety of items such as a 1997 Geo Tracker, golf packages, antique furniture, a hand-weaved basket, catering for an at-home dinner party and a special guest spot as a morning DJ on Mix 106.5. Other auction items include a wheelbarrow of gardening supplies, Orioles tickets, a basket of iPod products, a portable PlayStation and an edible arrangement. Themed auction baskets such as books, cooking utensils, wine, soccer supplies, games and electronics will also be available. All proceeds benefit the tuition assistance program for students at St. Mary of the Assumption School in the nearby Govans neighborhood. FriDay - Saturday, June 13 - 14 | | | Cosmos & Creation Conference | Lectures & Symposia |  | The 27th annual Cosmos & Creation Conference, a symposium focused on the relationship between science and theology, presents “Other Universes, the Anthropic Principle and the Cost of Evolution,” a lecture by Dr. William Stoeger, S.J., senior research fellow on the Vatican Observatory Staff and professor of astrophysics at the University of Arizona. Dr. Stoeger will present Friday, June 13 at 7:30 p.m. in Knott Hall B03 and Saturday, June 14 at 10:30 a.m. in Knott Hall B03. On Saturday, June 14, Dr. Carl S. Helrich, Jr., professor of physics at Goshen College in Goshen, Indiana, will present a luncheon lecture entitled "Growing up in Oak Ridge during Development of the Atomic Bomb." Bond St. On the last Sunday of every month, Loyola students, faculty, staff, administration and their families can be found together in the kitchen of Beans & Bread preparing the meal for the day. It is a time of unity for the Loyola community and a chance to get to know other people on campus with the same interests, as well as people from the Baltimore community. Each last Sunday, the Loyola community takes full responsibility for funding, staffing and operating Beans & Bread Meal Program. If not for the Loyola community, Beans & Bread could not afford to be open on that Sunday. |
