Information for grad students.

You can now make appointments using our online calendar system.  Please follow the directions below:

1. Click on the link  http://www.rich75.com/loyola/

2. Click on "First time here? Click here to register"

3. Select a schedule from the drop down menu.

Undergraduate students: select Evergreen.
Graduate students: please select the appropriate campus.  Then, be sure to select only the consultants with a "GRAD" before their names.

4. Click on the time slot that you would like.
Graduate students: You may make an online appointment for any campus.  If you wish to have an online appointment, simply note that in the "What do you want to work on" box.  Include your phone number and email address, and your consultant will contact you.

5. VERY IMPORTANT: the default is set to half an hour.  If you would like an hour appointment, please change the ending time.  For example, if you want an hour appointment that starts at 4 p.m, please choose 5 p.m. to end rather than the 30 minute option.  Note that a 5+ page paper will probably need a one-hour session.

ONLINE APPOINTMENTS:  If you would like an online or telephone appointment, please pick a time at ANY location, but be sure to designate that this is a phone or online consult.  Remember to type ONLINE in the "What do you want to work on?" box and include your phone number so that the consultant can call you to discuss your paper. Then, email your paper to LWC@loyola.edu within 8 hours of your appointment.

Understand that an online appointment is still one hour, and the consultant will review what he or she can in that hour time slot. Depending on the length of your paper, the consultant may not get through the entire paper in an hour.

You can also schedule an appointment by emailing us at LWC@loyola.edu or by calling 410-617-5415.

This year, the Columbia campus will devote time to both online and one-on-one consultations. Columbia students are always welcome at the Baltimore or Timonium campus writing center, too.

Individual and group appointments may be made by calling 410-617-5415.

or e-mailing lwc@loyola.edu

The Writing Center appointments fill up quickly at the end of the semester.

Call early. We want to make sure we are available to help you.

WALK-INS ARE WELCOME!

In addition to one-on-one consulting during the 2011-2012 academic year, the Loyola Writing Center will offer:

Academic Writing in APA Style: a series of workshops facilitated by Writing Center Graduate Consultants that focus on the purposes of academic writing, academic voice, and elements of APA citation style and formatting. Further information can be found here.

Online Consulting: Can’t make it to the writing center during our regular hours? Then online consulting might be right for you. We have scheduled hours for online consults, so please be aware of the times we have available and plan accordingly.

Please sign up for an online consult with our new online scheduling system.

Due to limited resources, appointments take precedence over walk-ins.
