Welcome Graduate Students! The Loyola Writing Center is a great resource for advanced academic writing. Grad students can access assistance from all three Loyola campuses. Graduate students can schedule appointments one-on-one or online. We also have workshops and programs available to assist in a variety of assignments and topics. Programs: APA Workshops:This fall the writing center will hold six APA workshops at various locations. Graduate students are welcome to attend any workshops at any campus. Writing Circles: With upcoming research papers, theses, and dissertations, we hope to encourage Loyola's graduate students to use Writing Circles as a resource for questions they have about writing. - Grad students can use Writing Circles as a time to reach out to other graduate students for feedback on their work.

To schedule an appointment: You can make appointments using our online calendar system. Please follow the directions below: 1. Click on the link http://www.rich75.com/loyola/ 2. Click on "First time here? Click here to register" 3. Select a schedule from the drop down menu.
Graduate students: please select the appropriate campus. Then, be sure to select only the consultants with a "GRAD" before their names. Click here to find out more about our consultants. 4. Click on the time slot that you would like. You may make an appointment for any campus. You may have a one-on-one appointment at our centers or schedule an online appointment.
ONLINE APPOINTMENTS: If you wish to have an online appointment, simply note that in the "What do you want to work on" box by typing ONLINE in the box. Include your phone number (if you want a follow-up call) and email address. Then email your paper to lwc@loyola.edu within 4 hours of your appointment. An online appointment is 45-50 minutes of review and 10-15 minutes for the phone consultation. Depending on the length of your paper, the consultant may not get through the entire paper in one hour. You may need to make a second appointment for another day for longer papers. 5. VERY IMPORTANT: the default is set to half an hour. If you would like an hour appointment, please change the ending time. For example, if you want an hour appointment that starts at 4 p.m, please choose 5 p.m. to end rather than the 30 minute option. Note that a 5+ page paper will probably need a one-hour session.
