U.N.I.T.E. program offers weekend immersion opportunity

Date/Time: Feb. 16th, 5:00 PM - Feb. 18th, 3:00 PM

The Center for Community Service and Justice invites members of the Loyola community to learn about homelessness and poverty first-hand through their U.N.I.T.E.  (Urban Needs Introduced Through Experience) Program.  The upcoming weekend immersion experience, which will take place at Beans and Bread, aims to educate participants about the realities and concerns of people who are economically poor and homeless in Baltimore.  The weekends include an experience of direct service in a shelter or meal program, factual information on poverty and homelessness, reflection, discussion and activities.
