Rev. Eric Jacobsen to speak about Christianity and the New Urbanism

On Monday, February 5th, Rev. Eric Jacobsen, a Presbyterian minister and doctoral candidate at the Fuller Theological Seminary, will delivery a lecture entitled, “Sidewalks in the Kingdom: Christianity and the New Urbanism.”  The lecture is based upon Jacobsen’s book of the same title, in which he explores overlapping concerns of Christians and the popular movement called New Urbanism.  Part of the 2007 Humanities Symposium, the lecture will offer a theological perspective on insights about neighborhood and community that are central to the symposium’s common text, Jane Jacobs’ The Death and Life of Great American Cities.

The lecture, which is free and open to the public, will take place on February 5th, at 4:30 pm in the 4th Floor Programming Room of the Andrew White Student Center.

Persons with disabilities who may require special services should contact the Office of Disability Support Services at (410) 617-2062.
