Do you choose to accept the mission? Mission: Mobtown, October 7

On Saturday, Oct. 7, you could be part of a group of 20-25 students sent to explore one of Baltimore’s most beautiful neighborhoods and cultural center, Mount Vernon. The idea is simple: you’ll get on a bus and be taken to Mount Vernon, where you’ll be split up into teams of 2-3 people and given a list of mission objectives. You’ll have 90 minutes to compile a dossier on the neighborhood. Then, all the teams will reconvene at a local gathering place to refresh themselves after their labors, present their dossiers, and vote for the best one. The winning team will get a fabulous prize!

Future trips will venture into Fell’s Point, Hampden, Federal Hill, and other Baltimore neighborhoods, on the first Saturday of every month. Come see what Baltimore (a.k.a. Mobtown) has to offer!

To reserve your spot for the Mount Vernon trip, send an e-mail to Cecilia Watson (cmwatson@loyola.edu) by Thursday, Oct. 5. Act fast--space is limited!

This program is sponsored by the Honors Program and the American Studies Interest Group. For more information, contact Jean Lee Cole (jcole1@loyola.edu) or Nick Miller (nmiller@loyola.edu).
