Nachbahr Award winner Drew Leder to present “The Life of the Mind in the Year of the City” Sept. 30 Drew Leder, a Professor in Loyola’s Department of Philosophy and winner of the Loyola Center for the Humanities’ 2006 Nachbahr Award, will present “The Life of the Mind in the Year of the City” on Saturday, Sept. 30 at 10 a.m. in Reitz Arena during the College’s Honors Convocation. A reception will follow. The Nachbahr Award, which recognizes scholarly or creative contributions in the Humanities, is named for Bernard Nachbahr, a long-time and much-beloved Loyola Philosophy Professor and first Director of the Center for the Humanities. Each year’s winner delivers a public lecture on “The Life of the Mind” during the annual Honors Convocation recognizing student achievement. |
