Open Society Institute solicits applications for community fellowship awards The Open Society Institute—Baltimore (OSI—Baltimore) is sponsoring ten (10) Community Fellowship Awards for individuals who “wish to work in Baltimore City in public or community service.” The goals of the fellowships are to: Encourage public and community service careers Expand the number of mentors and role models available to youth in inner-city neighborhoods; and Promote entrepreneurial initiatives that will empower communities to increase opportunities and improve the quality of life for their residents.
Orientation sessions for interested applicants will take place on February 6th, 8th, 13th, and 15th. The deadline for applications is March 16, 2007.
