Loyola's second Panel of Baltimore writers meets Friday, March 16

Loyola Department of Writing will host its second Year of the City Panel of Writers living and working in Baltimore on Friday, March 16th, from 3-5 p.m. in McGuire Hall on the Evergreen campus. Refreshments will follow the panel discussion.

The panel will focus on the challenges, responsibilities, pleasures, dangers and far-reaching impact of writing about a large and complex American city like Baltimore. Join us to welcome Gregory Kane, long-time Baltimore Sun columnist; Chezia Thompson Cager, accomplished poet essayist, and professor at Maryland Institute College of Art; Elizabeth Evitts, editor-in-chief of the Urbanite magazine; and Jane Conly, award-winning author of children's literature such as Crazy Lady! and In the Night, on Lanvale Street.

The event is presented by the department of Writing and made possible through the generous support of Year of the City Commiittee and Loyola's Center for the Humanities.
