Laptop Battery Recalls

It is our intent to inform and help protect our technology users from potentially dangerous situations, including the laptop battery recalls. IBM, Apple, and Dell have announced recalls of batteries that have the potential of catching fire and/or exploding because of overheating. Each of you is responsible for the safety of your computer when you are on Loyola property.

PLEASE NOTE: The Technology Service Center is available to undergraduate resident students to bring in their laptop for a battery evaluation. This is a MANDATORY process for any undergraduate resident students who have purchased one of the laptops listed below. Call the Technology Service Center at x5555 or stop by during normal business hours for assistance.
