  • Degree B.A. Communication and Fine Arts

Phil earned his bachelor’s degree in communication and fine arts with specializations in digital media and studio arts from Loyola in 2016. He began his career as the marketing and research coordinator at AGB Search, a higher education search firm in Washington, D.C. The Gaithersburg, Md., native is now pursuing a master’s degree in architecture at the University of Maryland’s School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation. Phil says his Loyola education pushed him past his comfort zone and has led him to unimaginable experiences and opportunities. As a teaching assistant for one of his graduate classes, Phil has teamed up with John Devecka, operations manager for Loyola’s student-run radio station, WLOY, and community developers to help create sustainable housing using shipping containers for families experiencing homelessness in the Park Heights neighborhood of Baltimore. Phil is also involved with Root & Raíces, a social enterprise that provides immigrants and allies a platform to be represented in the arts in Baltimore City. In his free time, he trains in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Muay Thai.
