Cristina Lanzillotta

  • Class of 2013

  • Degree B.S. Biology

Cristina Lanzillotta was originally torn between attending Loyola and another college. After she found out she was accepted to the Honors Program, learned more about Loyola’s Jesuit values, and visited the Evergreen campus, the Massapequa, N.Y. native was convinced Loyola was the right fit for her. Cristina earned her bachelor’s degree in biology with a history minor. She says the liberal arts education at Loyola, coupled with the focus on the whole person, prepared her for medical school. As an Honors student, Cristina was exposed to a variety of courses and worked within a small group of scholars, instilling the importance of teamwork. After two years working as a research assistant at the University of Pennsylvania, today she is a medical student at Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University.
