Zach Samson

Zach Samson studied Global Studies with a minor in political science and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in 2014. While at Loyola, he was on the International Student Orientation Committee, volunteered with Habitat for Humanity, and studied abroad in Newcastle, England. During an internship with the United States Marshals Service, Zach realized he wanted to make federal law enforcement a career. Following his graduation from Loyola, he worked as a deckhand on a car ferry in Portland, Maine, while applying for government jobs in Washington, D.C. Today the West Newbury, Mass., native works in the nation’s capital as a special agent with the U.S. Capitol Police. Zach has worked as security detail for the Former Speaker of the House, Paul Ryan, and says he enjoys the variety of duties he completes daily. He credits his experience at and education from Loyola in pushing him to become the best version of himself.
