Tania Cantrell Rosas-Moreno, Ph.D.

Tania Cantrell Rosas-Moreno, Ph.D., joined the communication faculty at Loyola since 2009. As a professor, she brings insight from prior public relations experience working in both the for-profit and nonprofit worlds, as well as in corporate and agency settings, to her classes at the graduate and undergraduate levels. An interdisciplinary professor, Dr. Rosas-Moreno's research primarily explores international communication issues with directed interests in Brazil, political communication, and social justice. Dr. Rosas-Moreno holds a Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin’s School of Journalism, with a Portfolio in Nonprofit Studies from UT’s LBJ School of Public Affairs.

In Jesuit teaching—focusing on the whole person—I try to help students understand that what we do in the classroom is tangible for their life skills. I really like incorporating that professional connection to the classroom.
