  • Academic Focus Marketing

Marie Yeh, Ph.D., associate professor of marketing, aims to personally connect with her students to understand their ambitions in the classroom and in life. “By drawing on their experiences, their career goals, their insecurities, and their strengths, I tailor my content for my students, throughout each class, to ensure the course has relevance in their lives,” says Dr. Yeh. Prior to joining Loyola’s faculty in 2013, Dr. Yeh was a health care educator who also served as executive director for the nonprofit Coalition for Children’s Mental Health. She earned her master’s degree in counseling from Old Dominion University and her Ph.D. in Marketing from Kent State University. Dr. Yeh is a believer in cura personalis and sees Loyola students as eager to learn and serve others: “What I love most about Loyola students is their heart and their intention. They embrace the concept of continuous improvement that we value as a Jesuit institution.”
