- Program Emerging Leaders MBA
Avnish Bassant grew up in Mauritius, a small island in the middle of the Indian Ocean, where he studied International Business Management. He’d always planned to pursue his MBA; he discovered Loyola’s Emerging Leader MBA offered the right fit. Avnish worked at a multinational company called Diadeis for seven years, where he gained experience in Web development, IT, and graphic design. “I'm ambitious by nature, and I wanted to climb even further up the ladder. I felt that the ELMBA program was ideal to help me progress in my career,” he says. Throughout the course of his time at Loyola, Avnish has served as the graduate assistant for student development and marketing in Loyola's department of recreational sports, where he managed the department’s website and all social media. “This experience has been a fantastic opportunity for me to be able to be at a workplace in the United States and learn a lot from its corporate culture,” he says. Of the ELMBA program, Avnish says: "The beauty of Loyola is that the professors are all excellent. Even the professors who do not have you in class are more than happy to help and advise students. I am so grateful for their teaching and their help in my job and internship search."
See all Students
I am so happy to be at Loyola. As an international student, it has been a challenging experience to come to a new country, but the people at Loyola are kind and so friendly. They have made everything easy for me.
