Ben grew up in Baltimore, close to Loyolas campus, but considers Evergreen his home away from home. Living on campus allows him to cook dinner with his friends in their apartment, socialize and study with classmates in the common areas, and create a new chapter as a Greyhound in his hometown. As a first-year student, he enjoyed living and learning with his peers through Messina, Loyolas living-learning program for all first-year students. “Messina helped me create a solid foundation for my first year and set the tone for my time at Loyola,” says the communication major. In his classes, Ben is enjoying learning about the importance of media in our global society. His concentration in digital media lets him unleash his creativity in Loyola’s digital labs and studios. He finds no shortage of opportunities to get involved with campus life, whether it’s attending performances in McManus Theatre, playing club sports, or celebrating the end of each spring semester at Loyolapalooza with carnival rides, free food, and a headlining artist.

Ben Ostrowski
There’s so much to learn and experience at Loyola. I’m learning the skills I need for my future career in the classroom while enjoying all the Evergreen campus and this community have to offer.
