- Class of 2018
- Program Master in Accounting
After receiving a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Loyola University Maryland, Chazz Miller wanted to pursue his CPA license. Having had a fulfilling and rewarding academic and social experience at Loyola as an undergraduate student, he decided to continue his studies at Loyola and obtain the necessary 150 credit hours and his Master in Accounting (MAcc) at the same time. In addition to pursuing his degree, Chazz serves as the graduate assistant for the accounting department, where he tutors and mentors undergraduate students. “Working with these students has allowed me to reinforce the material and information more clearly as I continue in my accounting career,” he says. “A, professor told me a long time ago, ‘If you can teach the material, you know it.’” The Orlando native plans to return to his hometown to work as an accountant at RSM, a provider of audit, tax, and consulting services, after he earns his degree.

The network at Loyola is amazing. I always find myself talking to people, whether it’s a janitor or a professor from a different department. There is an opportunity for everybody to make a lasting impact on someone else’s life. If Loyola had been a larger school, I would have not been able to make the amount of connections that I have.
