  • Major, MinorsPsychology, English and Spanish

Meet Doria, a psychology major with minors in Spanish and English who credits Loyola’s Jesuit liberal arts education for making her a well-rounded individual. Originally from Lutherville, Md., Doria is in the Honors Program and president of the Psychology Club. She is an active member in Loyola’s chapters of three honor societies: Alpha Sigma Nu, the national Jesuit honor society, Psi Chi, the International Honor Society in Psychology, and Sigma Tau Delta, the international excelled English honor society. Doria discovered a passion for community service and served as a volunteer for the Special Olympics Swimming Qualifier and a tutor at Mother Seton Academy. “I love to learn, and through Loyola’s liberal arts curriculum and the Honors Program, I had the opportunity to take unique classes from several subject areas and draw connections between them,” she says. “All the extracurricular and academic opportunities offered at Loyola have given me a plethora of experiences that have taught me to seek and jump at opportunities in my future career, because you never know how they may connect.” Doria completed her degree a semester early and accepted a position with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, with plans to begin a graduate program next year while continuing to work full-time.
