Originally from Baltimore, Dwayne is currently a substitute teacher for Baltimore County Public Schools and sees opportunities to bring more technology into the classroom. He enrolled in Loyola’s Educational Technology program with the goal of discovering how to use technology to enhance instruction and learning for his students. Dwayne, who earned his B.A. in Elementary Education from Loyola in 2016, knew that the university would afford him the small class experience, Jesuit principles, and long-lasting connections that he appreciated so much as an undergraduate student. In a short time, he says he has already learned dynamic teaching strategies that will help him inspire students throughout his future teaching career.

Loyola's mission and pedagogies align exactly with my studies and vocation. Cura personalis is a motto I use with students—and what I plan to use in my future classroom.
