  • ProgramM.A. Emerging Media

Elli’s love for Loyola led her to enroll in the Master of Arts in Emerging Media program after she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a minor in Innovation and Entrepreneurship in 2021. She first chose Loyola for its small size and tight community feeling. The student-to-faculty ratio allowed her “to develop strong and lasting relationships with my professors and mentors on campus, whom I am still close with.” Elli cites many role models who were key to her success, including the lacrosse coaching staff, her academic advisor, and her professors, who all made “a positive and powerful impact on my academic, athletic, and personal life.” A member of the Division I women’s lacrosse team, Elli participated in the Pre-Health Society, Outdoor Adventure, and Loyola’s chapter of the Alpha Sigma Nu national Jesuit honor society during her time at Loyola. She also conducted research with faculty in the biology department as an undergraduate student. She has loved the plentiful and varied opportunities to get involved on and off campus. “I’m glad I took advantage of these opportunities because they gave me incredible experiences, memories, and connected me with so many different people,” says the Fairfax, Virginia, native, who completes her graduate degree in May 2022.

My favorite part of being a Loyola student is the breadth and variety of opportunities to get involved. There are groups and activities for everyone of all interests.
