- Class of2022
- Major, MinorBiology, Business
Gillian’s major in biology and minor in business are preparing her for a future as an oncologist. “Combining concepts from my business classes with my biological studies has opened a door to a deeper understanding of what it means to be a successful doctor,” says Gillian, who is from Queens, N.Y. During the summer of 2020, Gillian conducted research at the University of Maryland as a part of the university’s Nathan Schnaper Internship Program in Translational Cancer Research. Beyond academics, she is involved with a number of organizations on campus, serving as co-vice president of the Biology Club and as secretary for the Black Student Association, and as a member of the Society for Underrepresented Pre-Health Students. She is also a member of the Greyhounds women’s track and field team. Gillian is grateful for the support provided by the Loyola community. “Everyone wants to see you win here,” she says.
