- Class of 2019
- Major Marketing
Joanna discovered her passion for art and design after taking a Messina design course. Her interests in design and consumer motivation inspired her to declare a major in marketing. Joanna believes Loyola’s core classes—including those she took as part of her study abroad program at the University of Auckland in New Zealand—have also exposed her to a variety of subjects and helped prepare her for life beyond Loyola. Her career goals include finding innovative ways to market products for a company that will have a positive impact on the world. Joanna, who is originally from Riverhead, N.Y., is a Loyola Dining marketing intern, a member of the Club Sports executive council, and captain of the women’s lacrosse team, which made Loyola history when it took home the WCLA National Championship in 2017. Additionally, Joanna is a member of Alpha Kappa Psi, an organization that focuses on ethics and professionalism in business while providing networking and service opportunities, and Sigma Society, Loyola’s sales, management, and marketing club. Joanna has accepted a position with Stanley Black & Decker's Sales and Marketing Development Program; she will be moving to San Jose, Calif., after graduation to begin her role.
