- Class of 2018
- Major Accounting
After serving in the Air Force, Justin was interested in earning a bachelor's degree in business. "I looked to Loyola for its commitment to the community, the reputation of its business programs, and its generosity toward veterans in honoring the post-9/11 G.I. Bill through the Yellow Ribbon Program," he says. The accounting major from Delaware has been building his network through Loyola events and The Career Center, which he says has helped him refine his skills for future work. He gained valuable field experience through an externship with PricewaterhouseCoopers this past summer, through which he learned more about the Public Sector Advisory line of service and the firm as a whole, and in the PwC Challenge during his third year. "The PwC Challenge was an incredible experience for me. Having that opportunity was exciting and much more realistic than only completing sample problems in a classroom," says Justin, whose team won the challenge and presented their business solutions to PwC Partners from the Baltimore office. After he graduates, Justin hopes to integrate his prior military experience working with intelligence agencies with his degree in accounting to work in the public sector.
