Thanks to Loyola’s Jesuit liberal arts education, Matthew feels confident in his ability to adapt to any environment. “Because students are exposed to courses other than those required by their major or minor, we become versatile individuals, which gives us that competitive advantage in all settings,” says this student from Columbia, Md. He is majoring in international business and is excited to begin his career in the commercial real estate industry after he graduates in May. Matthew gained hands-on experience in the field during his time as a real estate intern with HOGAN Companies. He was also selected as an Albrecht Fellow with the World Trade Center Institute and served as a student intern with Loyola’s Center for Community, Service, and Justice. “Trust and relationship building are at the core of all business dealings,” Matthew says is a big takeaway from his international business courses. He constantly strives to build relationships with other students and professors on campus—and his biggest piece of advice to fellow and future Greyhounds is to find a mentor you can trust.
