- Class of 2018
- Program Professional's MBA
A principal business analyst at the Baltimore Gas and Electric Company (BGE), Michael Abboud earned his bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University. He decided to pursue a Master of Business Administration to help support his two young daughters and advance at his company, where he has worked for more than a decade. Originally from Virginia, Michael says he chose Loyola's Professional's MBA (PMBA) program for its reputation, the in-person classes and networking opportunities, and the focus on a well-rounded education. During his program, Michael took full advantage of the graduate school’s study abroad programs, traveling to and studying in Chile and to Prague and Berlin. "I've had so many mentors along the way during my MBA experience," says Michael. "I have built lasting friendships. The staff and professors at Loyola were willing to help me in any way. The faculty understand what it takes for students to complete a part-time MBA program, that students have commitments outside of the coursework, including work and family. The support and mentorship I encountered here made my experience truly enjoyable and fulfilling." After he graduates, Michael plans to begin work on a new business opportunity, and hopes to one day pursue his Ph.D.

I've made it a priority to take full advantage of the study abroad options that Loyola offered during my graduate studies. The friendships and experiences that were had during these trips were truly memorable.
