- Class of 2019
- Major, Minor Communication, Political Science
“Loyola has provided me with a Jesuit education that I will forever be grateful for,” says Mickey, a communication major with a specialization in public relations and a minor in political science.“Cura personalis, the concept of developing yourself while also caring for the needs of others, is vital in any occupation.” Mickey plans to pursue career opportunities that allow him to become a leader in the sports industry, and would like to one day represent athletes as a sports agent. The Berwyn, Pa., native, and three-year captain of the men’s soccer team came to Loyola for the academic opportunities, the people, and the proximity to downtown Baltimore. Mickey is most proud of his commitment to being more than a student-athlete through his involvement on campus. He serves on the Green & Grey Society, as co-president of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee, and as an ex-officio student-athlete on the Patriot League Sports Management Committee. During his time at Loyola, he has enjoyed planning retreats and community service opportunities for his fellow Greyhounds.

My favorite thing about Loyola is the relationships between student leaders and administrators. Not too many institutions empower their student leaders like Loyola does.
