- Class of 2019
- Major History
Moira, from New Haven, Conn., says her interest in history started in high school when a teacher made the content come alive. Her love for the subject was affirmed when a Loyola professor incorporated technology to show the various impact of history on today’s society. Moira also enjoys learning beyond her classes through service-learning opportunities with the Center for Community Service and Justice. She is a member of Phi Alpha Theta, the history honors society, in addition to her involvement with Hound Notes and the Clothesline Project. She is also involved with the Evergreen Players, one of Loyola's student theatre troupes. Moira says she chose Loyola because of the range of learning opportunities available to students. After she graduates in May, Moira plans to attend graduate school to pursue her Master of Art in History.

I love the community service aspect of Loyola. Volunteering with CCSJ through service-learning and the York Road Initiative have gotten me off campus and into the Baltimore community.
