After Monica gained her AMI primary certificate at the Montessori Institute in San Diego, California, she yearned to learn the Montessori philosophy more deeply. That’s why she chose Loyola to pursue her M.Ed. in Montessori Education. Monica, who grew up in China and received her Bachelor of Arts from Communication University of China, lives in Virginia and attends courses fully online to fit her professional and personal schedule. Currently, she is a primary lead guide in a private Montessori school. She manages her class in this role, but through Loyola’s M.Ed. program, she’s further developed skills for observing children and enriching herself as an educator. “I have gained a deeper understanding of Montessori philosophy, which has helped me better introduce the philosophy and goals to my students’ parents.” Monica hopes to apply her knowledge and experience in a future leadership position, striving to become a trainer or administrator within her group.
