- Interdisciplinary MajorWriting and Philosophy
Peter asserts that Loyola’s Jesuit liberal arts education has been the key to developing his critical thinking skills. “Each course I take does not burrow me into a single way of thinking but instead challenges me to see new methods of solving problems.” Originally from Fairfield, Conn., Peter declared an interdisciplinary major in writing and philosophy. “They complement each other in such a way as to allow for well-thought-out and well-worded discussion with others,” he says of the combination of writing and philosophy. He applied what he learned in his courses during a legal internship at Mayer Law in Baltimore that has helped to prepare him for his future career as a lawyer. Outside of the classroom, Peter is a member of the Army ROTC, a tutor at the Writing Center, and involved with Hopkins Court Mass. After graduation, he will concurrently attend law school and serve as an officer in the United States Army National Guard.

My favorite thing about Loyola is that it offers so many opportunities to make your own experiences. From doing research in the classroom to acting in a theatre production or watching a Greyhounds game, here you'll have a time you remember for the rest of your life.
