- Class of 2018
- Major, Minor Accounting, Information Systems
"My favorite thing about Loyola is the willingness for professors and professional staff to provide advice and do everything it takes to ensure you have and take advantage of every opportunity," says Precious, who declared her major after speaking at length with a professor about all of the options she would have as an accounting major with a minor in information systems. After she graduates, Precious will be working at an accounting firm in Connecticut as she begins studying for the CPA exams. "I will also continue pursuing my entrepreneurial pursuit by learning more about data and its use as an application of problem-solving for businesses," says Precious. During her time at Loyola, Precious has participated in Connections and RoadTrip and numerous retreats; her involvement with Campus Ministry included roles as a social justice intern, organizing the Ignatian Teach-In, and leading Soup with Substance, a monthly student discussion about justice and advocacy. "Dr. Rodney Parker has made a huge impact as a mentor, providing both professional and spiritual guidance. My advisor, Dr. JP Krahel, has provided professional and career advice and pushed me to explore opportunities, always voicing his confidence in my abilities. And ALANA has been amazing in providing resources, and encouraging me and believing in me," she says. "I’ve been truly blessed to meet these people—and many more—at Loyola."
