Originally from Framingham, Mass., Rebecca came to Loyola because she immediately felt welcome on campus. "It still surprises me how genuinely nice all of the people are here," she says. "I have never been a member of a community with so many individuals who sincerely care about the people around them." Rebecca enjoys playing Ultimate Frisbee on Loyola's club team, the Flying Pagodas, and is a Campus Ministry intern. A CPaMS Scholar, she says the program is setting her up for success both in her studies and for life after graduation. "It is a great to be a part of a small group of people who have similar interests and ambitions as I do. My program provides an excellent opportunity to build connections within the technical field and to learn more about various post-grad opportunities." And her Jesuit education, she says, inspires her not only in her academic endeavors, but in her life at Loyola: "Being my best self is something that is extremely important to me. Having a Jesuit education is great because doing work for a bigger reason is very important. It is also very helpful having a liberal arts education because the education we are receiving is much more well-rounded than at other institutions."

I was drawn to Loyola because of the atmosphere. No other college I visited seemed to have a culture quite like Loyola’s. Here I have the opportunity to be challenged academically while surrounded by amazing people.
