“I’ve slowly fallen in love with Baltimore and feel like I’m putting roots down professionally and personally, so the opportunity to continue my education and my experience at Loyola made sense,” says Rennae, a theology and psychology major who is also working toward her Master of Theological Studies at Loyola. Rennae hopes to use her Loyola education to serve people who are facing addiction and homelessness. “For me, the greatest Jesuit value is care for the whole person. I think this is crucial when seeking to help others face and overcome mental illness,” explains Rennae, who anticipates completing her degree in May 2021. She enjoys learning about the diverse backgrounds of her classmates and developing relationships with the dedicated professors in the theology department—irreplaceable mentors who she says are always willing to talk, offer support, and provide interesting and passionate discussion topics.
