Coronavirus Updates

August 12, 2020 - An invitation to a Town Hall

Dear Students,

As we prepare for remote learning and providing the best experience we can in a virtual environment, I know you have many questions about what the Fall 2020 semester will be like.

Town Halls
I would like to invite you to join me and other Loyola leaders for a Town Hall conversation, where we will provide more information and details about the fall and answer your questions. Please register using the links by the session that works for you.

Monday, Aug. 17, 6 p.m. (first-year students)
Tuesday, Aug. 18, 5 p.m. (sophomores and juniors)
Tuesday, Aug. 18, 7 p.m. (seniors)

Please submit your questions in advance while registering or by sending them to coronavirus@loyola.edu.

Fall 2020 FAQ
Professionals across the University have been compiling answers to many of the questions that have been asked in phone calls and through emails over the past few days, and you can find answers on our Fall 2020 Information page. We will continue to add more information there to help you have a better understanding of what it will be like to be a Loyola student this fall.

Updated Academic Calendar
The Academic Calendar has also been updated online, and the undergraduate final exam schedule for fall is available. Courses and student course schedules, however, are still being updated to remove the Saturday class meeting times, for example. Thank you for your patience as we make those changes.

Conclusion
Although I know this news is still raw and deeply disappointing for our students—and, indeed, all of us who have been looking forward to the fall—I hope you will join me for this conversation as we begin to envision a semester full of positive connections and transformative opportunities.

Sincerely,

Rev. Brian F. Linnane, S.J.
President
