Dear Students,
As you look forward to a well-deserved Fall Break this weekend, I write to encourage you to take that time to relax and rejuvenate so you can return refreshed for the rest of the semester. I ask you to continue to make good decisions for your health—and the health of our Loyola community. Please stay vigilant, wash your hands, and wear masks in areas of substantial or high transmission as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends.
If you are looking for additional ways to meet other students and discover new opportunities on campus, I encourage you to spend time exploring The Bridge. You’ll find information about clubs and organizations, workshops, sessions, and other events. I hope you’ll make the most of your time here at Loyola to connect with others and try something new.
We continue to feel good about the low number of COVID-19 cases in our community, thanks to the healthy steps you and our entire community continue to take. I am especially appreciative of the great leadership of the Student Government Association in support of the health of our community. You can monitor the number of cases on our COVID dashboard.
I hope you enjoy a beautiful break and return to campus prepared to enjoy the rest of the semester together.
Sincerely,
Amanda M. Thomas, Ph.D.
Interim President
