Coronavirus Updates

Event Guidelines

In an effort to have a vibrant and active intellectual and social community this semester, the University has instituted these guidelines.

Use an outdoor location when possible. If it’s an event of more than 100 people, a rain site is not an option. The event planners may work with events on the possibility of a rain date.

Parkhurst will work with you on COVID-safe dining options. Keep in mind that taking a mask on and off significantly increases risk of transmission. Please consider carefully whether catering and alcohol are essential for your event.

Event rentals should be approved by the vice president and be aligned with the mission of the University. Exceptions are permitted at the discretion of the president.

When planning an event, please keep in mind that, depending on resources, you might not be able to change an in-person event to a virtual event. Please plan accordingly.
