In an effort to have a vibrant and active intellectual and social community this semester, the University asks you to adhere to these guidelines
Use an outdoor location when possible. If it’s an event of more than 100 people, a rain site is not an option. The event planners may work with events on the possibility of a rain date
Parkhurst will work with you on COVID-safe dining options. Keep in mind that taking a mask on and off significantly increases risk of transmission. Please consider carefully whether catering and alcohol are essential for your event.
If your event is open to the general public, these are the additional steps that must be taken. All guests are required to mask indoors at all times, except when eating and drinking. Guests should follow all CDC guidelines at all times.
Members of theater productions should socially distance on stage when possible. Unvaccinated students may perform without a mask but must mask backstage and during rehearsals and practices.
Masks are required indoors for student-athletes at all times, except while student-athletes are training and competing.
Event rentals should be approved by the vice president and be aligned with the mission of the University. Exceptions are permitted at the discretion of the president.
When planning an event, please keep in mind that, depending on resources, you might not be able to change an in-person event to a virtual event. Please plan accordingly.
The University reserves the right to change this policy at any time without notice.
