The University permits travel by faculty, staff, and administrators that supports the mission of the University. At all times, the safety and health of our Loyola team and our donors and volunteers is paramount.
All planned travel will require advance review and approval by an employee’s vice president, dean, or the president before meetings and travel arrangements are finalized. Travel will be approved when an effective business case has been made for the trip. Each trip will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
Every Loyola employee traveling on University business pledges to follow all standing public health directives of the areas where they are visiting or current Maryland/Loyola guidelines, whichever are more cautious/protective. Team members who do travel on behalf of Loyola agree to maintain appropriate social distancing and mask wearing as outlined by CDC guidelines, even if there is not a local ordinance where they are traveling.
This policy also applies to travel funded not by the University, but by a grant, foundation, or any other entity.
For international travel, employees should follow the international travel guidelines set by the CDC.
For domestic travel, employees should follow the domestic travel guidelines set by the CDC.
Personal travel by members of the Loyola community will not be monitored by the University.
The University reserves the right to change this policy at any time without notice.
