Search firm selected for presidential search

This message was sent to the Loyola community on Monday, March 29.

Dear Members of the Loyola Community,

I am pleased to announce that we have selected a search firm for the presidential search. Isaacson, Miller will assist us in the search for the next president of Loyola University Maryland. Isaacson, Miller is one of the country’s premier executive search firms and is known for its ability to identify and recruit executive-level leaders with exceptional talent and diverse backgrounds. The firm has also conducted numerous successful presidential searches for Jesuit universities.

Now that we have identified the search firm and have our search committee in place, the search will commence in earnest. I look forward to updating you frequently, and I invite you also to visit the presidential search website, where you can find information about the search and share the criteria you are looking for in the next president of Loyola.

We are committed to an open, transparent search process, and we will take the necessary time to identify the right president for this next chapter in Loyola’s history. Recognizing that the Rev. Brian F. Linnane, S.J., will now be stepping away from his role at the end of June, the Board of Trustees will be prepared to put interim leadership in place if necessary.

Thank you for your continued interest in this important search for Loyola University Maryland’s 25th president.

Sincerely,

James Forbes, ’80, Chair, Board of Trustees
Gerry Holthaus, ’71, Chair, Presidential Search Committee
