All psychology masters programs are 48 credits. After completing 21 credits, but no later than having completed 30 credits, students have the ability to apply for a 12-credit option allowing them to complete a 60-credit masters degree. Pursuing the 60 credit masters degree may be particularly beneficial for students who are planning to obtain licensure as a professional counselor, as some states require a 60 credit masters degree for license eligibility. Once accepted into the 60 credit degree option, students must complete all 60 credits in order to receive their degree.
