Raenita Fenner, Ph.D., engineering, traveled to Washington, D.C., in late April to express thanks and appreciation to Congress for recent appropriations actions in the FY 2013 spending bill and express the need for continued funding of Federal R&D programs important to American economic growth. Fenner joined with more than 200 scientists, engineers, and business leaders who made visits on Capitol Hill as part of the 17th “Congressional Visits Day,” an annual event sponsored by the Science-Engineering-Technology Work Group.
