He is an accredited member of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSSA) and was elected to the Society’s College of Fellows. Dr. Alperstein is at the forefront of the use of technology in online education, and is the co-author with Dr. Elliot King of the book, Best Practices in Online Program Development. His teaching interests center on the use of new and emerging media in everyday life. He is the author of the book, Advertising in Everyday Life and Celebrity and Mediated Social Connections: Fans, Friends and Followers in the Digital Age
