We are pleased to announce that Josh Hummel's God of Our Fathers has been selected as the winner of the 2013-2014 Loyola Prize for Music Composition. The Loyola Singers, directed by Dr. Daniel McDavitt, will give the premiere performance at a concert in the Alumni Memorial Chapel on Loyola's Evergreen campus on April 23, 2014.

We are grateful to all of the composers who submitted scores to the competition. There were many excellent submissions, and we'd like to give honorable mention to the following composers:

Geoffrey Kidde, Envoi
Jared Oaks, The Unified Field
Jason Michael Saunders, Ignea Vis

We hope to continue to offer this prize in future years. Please check back next fall for an announcement.
